Ok, for each of the posts for theme parks I’m going to set them out thustly:

  • Highlights
  • Food
  • Outfit compliment competition
  • Summary

I’m not going to worry about step counts anymore  as the rides threw that off too much.

Highlights

  1. Rocking Rollercoaster starring Aerosmith. This was a great ride! Totally unexpected. I can’t recommend going on it enough. Plus Aerosmith. Also the first thing that I saw when in the ride gift shop were drumsticks. Which made me think of this and then I couldn’t stop laughing
  2. Meeting Sully and Mike. We weren’t expecting to meet them but we happened to walk past whilst the line was short. They were fun and Sully was great to hug!DSC_0432-1
  3. Toy Story Midway Mania. I knew what this one was but George didn’t. It was super fun and George kicked the crap out of me with the final score. The shooters were not Anna friendly
  4. Margaritas – an unexpected stop, it was hot and I wanted a slushie and we walked past a bar with frozen margaritas. It was a gooooood margarita. George essentially had a long island ice tea. He was also pleased.20150624_124227-1
  5. Star Tours – This was a super fun simulator! Plus Star Wars. Around the ride they had many awesome things too, like being able to walk under an AT-AT20150624_164205and sitting on a speeder. Yes George’s smile is even greater than on the aircraft carrier!20150624_170358
  6. The Beauty and the Beast musical was also well done and showcased the songs of the movie well
  7. Even though they were set to frozen songs, the fireworks were very pretty!
  8. Fantasmic was such a great way to end the day. So very pretty with the water projections and the fireworks.

Food

For lunch, we had to stop into Pizza Planet. We had the pepperoni pizza and a salad as we felt we needed salad. The pizza was surprisingly quite good and the salad served it’s function.

Dinner was at the 50’s Diner upon recommendation. It was just what we needed for dinner. It tasted like a home cooked meal. I had the soup and George had the pie but we shared. It really was very tasty.

Outfit competition

So seeing that we were going to Hollywood Studios with all the star wars stuff, I had to bring out the r2d2 bodysuit. George with a similar theme, went with his not the droids you are looking for shirt. It was fairly close all day, but by the end of the day I had won convincingly :p

Summary

We had a really fun day out. I would have preferred the stunt shows if they didn’t show how the stunts were done. It kind of ruined the illusion. Also I have never seen so many kids who are way to old to be pushed in strollers, being pushed in strollers. If your kid is too big for the stroller they can walk. Seriously, some of these kids would be about 10. That’s just crazy. There was also an afternoon storm, but we just waited for that to pass before continuing on with the fun.
