The outlet shopping day didn’t really need a whole post. Essentially we shopped till we dropped and had to buy another suitcase. The food was meh and not blog worthy. So let’s get back to the fun stuff!

Highlights

1. 3 words. HARRY POTTER WORLD!
2. Seriously. Harry Potter world was everything we expected and more. Islands of Adventure have Hogwarts and Hosgmead as well as the Hogsmead Hogwarts Express platform
3. The new Hogwarts ride was fantastic! So, so good. Kind of a cross between a simulator and a rrollercoaster
4. The dragon ride in the Harry Potter section was a super fun rollercoaster
5. Going into Olivander’s to see the wand choosing was so well done. Unfortunately I was not selected, but the little girl who was had the best time so I was ok with that (I really, really wanted it to be me though)
6. The Jurassic Park ride was great
7. The Men In Black shooty ride was awesome. Mainly because I won convincingly finally
8. The simpsons section was pretty neat but we explored that more on our second day at Universal. See some initial pics though Worst non accessible shop front ever! Seriously, how could they not make the inside actually be the comic book store?Also we were a little miffed this didn’t say embiggen. Becsuse embiggen.This was too funny.Wyyyaaahhh

Food

Firstly, we had to try a butterbeer. So good. But quite rich so we really should have had one between us. We didn’t know this, so wex had one chilled and one frozen as it was so damn hot. Oh we also sat in the 3 broomsticks!

For our late lunch, we came back to the 3 broomsticks and had fish snd chips and cornish pasties…kindaThe fish was ok, but the pasties were those sad looking little things on the salad. They tasted like meat pies. Oh also we had pumpkon juice, it was the only time I have ever heard the words ‘too much cinnamon’ escape from his mouth.

We did not have dinner as we were too full from the last few days…

Outfit competition

We both went Harry Potter today because reasons. I had my all house swim from Blackmilk and George had his scarred face shirt. I do love Georges shirt, but yeh I won convincingly.

Summary

Besides Harry Potter world, Universal just doesn’t quite match Disney. It is more like a giant Movieworld. Which is still good, just not the best. Also we had pretty much done everything we wanted to in Islands of Adventure by early afternoon so we caught the Hogwarts Express to Universal Studios and started to look a little around there too. If you are a fan of Harry Potter though, you need to go. Here are some pics
