Orlando day 8 – Animal Kingdom and Dinner with the Princesses
Today we park hopped a little. It was meant to be dedicated to Animal Kingdom, but it was the only day we could obtain a reservation for Dinner with the Princesses at Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom.
Highlights
- The shade! This park had so much shade! It was a ranga’s paradise. Now if you are like me you will have gangsta’s paradise in your head but are replacing gangsta with ranga
- Meeting Dug and Russell! I love Up so much

- Now the Kali river rapids were fun and we had been warned that we would get wet and the sign said you may get drenched, but we didn’t realise just how drenched. Seriously. It took hours to dry complexly
- The tree of life is really cool

- The animal safari was fun, I was able to see giraffes up super close!
- The lion king show was so good. Such entertaining performers
- Hippos!

- Meeting Tinkerbell

- Dining in Cinderella’s Castle and meeting Cinderella

Food
Lunch was left over pizza from the night before because dinner was going to be something pretty epic. Princess wise, it was the same princesses as the breakfast except for Mulan (who is awesome but not technically a princess) who was replaced with Jasmine. It was also the same Ariel as who was at the breakfast and she remembered us and was super cute. I digress, food is below
I can’t remember exactly what everything was as it was a little while ago but all was delicious!
Outfit competition
Today was my redemption. My Aladdin leggings were much admired and I ended up winning by 1 against George’s Book of Mormon shirt that had a tie (he dressed up for Cinderella’s Castle).
Summary
Animal Kingdom was pretty good, but there is something about sitting in a castle and dining with your childhood that you just can’t beat 🙂
