
Crushed it at leg day today
I am feeling pretty strong and proud of my body and what it can do today. I broke another 2 personal bests today in a pretty brutal leg day session. the first was leg pressing 100kgs for 12 reps (after pushing 80kgs the previous set). That is massive for me considering only a few weeks ago I was only pushing 60kgs. It wasn’t even a super struggling either which makes me think I can go even heavier next time, but I will do it with care and not rush myself just incase.
My second personal best was that I planked for 1 minute for the first time ever in my life, and this was the last exercise of my brutal workout too which impressed me even more. I am now going to push myself at home to do a 1 minute plank morning and night to keep up my core and lower back strength. It has definitely improved since I have started doing 30 second planks more often, so again it has been great to see my body become stronger and not be as sore.
I have also found that I enjoy dead-lifting, I don’t know why but it is an exercise that seems to feel relatively natural for my body. I am currently sitting at lifting 40kgs and I think that will do me for a little bit whilst my body becomes stronger but I will definitely be looking to push that when I can.
Yay for feeling stronger in my body. I hope this keeps happening as a trend I need these wins :p
