Again, I was going to post this yesterday but was suffering another food baby incident so went to bed instead!
On Friday night we finally saw Deadpool and it was definitely worth the short wait. This is the super hero movie release I have been most excited to see. I was not disappointed either. The marketing for Deadpool was genius. They released just what they needed to for the trailer and then released content that had nothing to do with the movie that just extended out the reach. In a year where we have had huge movies release trailers with way too much information in them this was a breath of fresh air.
To the movie itself, it was fantastic and a great representation of the Deadpool character. I must admit, I was skeptical of the Ryan Reynolds casting at first mainly due to the Green Lantern movie. But as more and more information came out I was swayed. He is the perfect Deadpool. You can tell he had a great time with this character and that he respected it.
The violence and action sequences were great. The humor was spot on and the fourth wall breaking, just brilliant. I can’t say much more because I don’t want to give any spoilers. So go see it.
