The perfect present

One of the greatest skills I have is being able to find the perfect presents for friends and family. It is just something I do well and I really enjoy doing. If I could make a living searching for the perfect presents for people I would be the happiest person in the world.

There is just something about having a brief of the person and their likes and being able to obtain something that makes them squeal and give you a big hug. I guess I am more of a giver. The best reward for me is finding the perfect gift for a challenging person. For most of my friends, it is pretty easy to find something they like. But yeh there are a few that when I see something that screams their name and when they receive it and freak a little, that is when I am know I have done well. There is nothing like making someone else smile.

Because I spend much of my time online just looking at random things, if something catches my eye that I know a friend or family member would love, I buy it instantly and keep it hidden till the occasion arises. Some people might think that is crazy, but I was burnt years ago by waiting and then having that item not be available anymore. So it might sound crazy, but hey, at least you will have the perfect gift!

The hardest person ever is George. So what I tend to do is just store up lots of little gifts throughout the year and then he gets lots of little surprises. Somehow, he has never found where I hide things either and considering he is a snooper that makes me the most proud. He hates that I am a good present shopper, because I just buy anything I want when I am shopping too so he finds it hard. I keep saying I have a pinterest board dedicated to things I want and if I do really want something (like my awesome cherry red Kitchenaid Sir Mixalot) I just tell him, but yeh. I guess I do buy awesome presents for myself too. Especially whilst drunk online shopping!

Now, back to online shopping for others!
