Wagaya

So today I am going to post about one of my favourite lunch spots. The food is consistent and tasty and you will definitely get bang for your buck at lunch time! It is called Wagaya, and it is in Fortitude Valley. It is Japanese and you order your food on touch screens. I am actually banned from using the touch screen after I accidentally ordered someone the wrong thing. So I always make sure I don’t sit near the screens at the back of the booth.

The lunch menu is vast and varied. I tend to stick to 2 main dishes though. The katsu curry and the tan tan ramen. With the ramen being my main go to. You get served a huge bowl of tasty tasty noodles, a bowl of curry rice and 2 gyoza (in the featured pic). It is so good. The lullaby music that plays there makes you want to sleep after you attempt to eat all that food though.

The other dish that is great to get in a group is the sushi roulette. Essentially there are 6 nigiri sushi and one of them has a huge amount of wasabi on it. I LOVE wasabi. I am actually kinda addicted to the feeling of when you have too much of it, but I have never actually had the super wasabi sushi and it makes me sad. One day I will, but until that day, I will laugh at the other people who get it and can’t handle it.

The menu changes drastically at dinner time though, it is less full huge meals and more share plates, which is fine, but the lunch food is just so good. I really recommend it if you are in the valley and want some tasty Japanese.
