The Jetty on Oxford
I was hoping to actually write 2 blogs yesterday to make up for one of the 2 I missed, then I didn’t even write one. So I’m down another day! I’ll make them up soon!
On Sunday as my dad was still in town, I wanted to take him to Bulimba as it was on the way to the airport and it’s nice down there. I had always wanted to try this place too so win win.
Overall I really preferred the entrees to the mains and I’ll go in depth of each one below:
I had the pulled pork arancini. They were full of flavor and the capsicum pesto sauce was delicious. I was very happy with this and was looking forward to my main.
Dad had the scallops with crispy bacon. Also tasty, but not nearly as good as the scallops at Sake.
For my main I had seafood spaghetti. The spaghetti was cooked well, even though the menu stated there was chilli I couldn’t taste any. The thing that really dissapointed me about this dish was that there was just fish and prawn pieces as the “seafood”. Where were my mussels, pippis and squid?
For main dad had the crumbed market fish which he said was decent. I snuck a chip or 2 and they were cooked well.
Overall, this is a place to go for decent food if you want to see some nice scenery and be able to tall to the person you are with. I wouldn’t go back in a super hurry though.
