Mortal Kombat XL

So I’ve been playing Mortal Kombat XL pretty much all weekend. We don’t have it at home but our friends we have been staying with do and it is such a great party game to play with friends.

To quote Stefan, this game has everything. Hardcore violence, hilarity, collectables and

I’ve been playing Mortal Kombat for years, but played 9 the most. There was just something about it. XL picks up from where 9 left off and elevates the gore, combat and graphics to the next level. As NetherRealm games also built Injustice: Gods Among Us, you can see some of the learnings from that experience in MK XL. Mainly more interactive fighting environments and a decent story mode. Yup I said it, the story mode was actually decent. It was really fun to play with all 4 us passing around the remote for every fight and the rubber banding was pretty spot on with the ai.

Of course the main attraction of just 2 player brawls is the key to MK and didn’t dissapoint. There was a bit of a learning curve with all the moves changing from every other previous game (seriously wtf!) and new characters too, but once you play it enough that subsides. I really liked fighting worth Tanya, she reminds me of my previous favourite Skarlet. Milena is also as fun as always to play. I can’t wait to own this for ourselves and get better at it. Now that George and I are on a fairly even playing ground seeing as how all Scorpion’s moves have changed it might make it more fun to play against him :p

Also I meant to post this last night, but I fell asleep hslf way through. My bad.
