So we made it to Sydney yay! The drive from the Hunter would have been much nicer had it not been pouring with torrential rain pretty much the whole way. I definitely had to keep my wits about me. Twas not the best driving experience I’ve ever had. Also most of the way, the road was awful! They really need to fix that up.
Anyway, we made it in just before dinner and George decided that he wanted ramen so we googled for the best ramen in Sydney. Chaco Bar made the list because apparently the broth was near perfect. We set off on our first Sydney exploration and once we eventually found a park somewhat close by we then set about getting into said park. It went like this…
Seriously. I had to get out to direct it was that snug!
After all that we finally stepped into this cute little place that was very inviting. We managed to secure 2 seats and proceeded to peruse the menu. Then I noticed that in the top right hand corner, it said ramen was only available on Monday nights. George was sad.
But given the parking effort, we stayed and ordered the smoked edamame which was so good and fresh too. I’ve never had fresh edamame before and it was awesome. We also ordered the pan fried gyoza, this amaxing duck breast dish and the enoki pork and crispy chicken skin yakatori.
It was all amazing. Seriously, such a delicious start to our Sydney adventure. If I was a local, I would eat here constantly. I couldn’t fault anything!
