Billy Kwong
So George and I have been talking about eating here for ages. We both stalk follow Kylie Kwong on instagram and daymn does her food look good.
Well I can confirm that it tastes amazing too. Each dish was just as delicious as it looked and the flavours were so complimentary and subtle yet also punchy that it was tastebud heaven.
Even though there was a small mix up with the wine (which was cleared up and all good) the service and overall experience was what we had expected. We left very happy and both carrying food babies. Totally worth it!
These pork buns were unlike any I have had before. There was no sweetness from red bean paste but they were so tasty. The flavour of the pork was 👌.
Spanner crab and prawn dumplings in a Sichuan chilli sauce. Uggghh we could have smashed so many of these. They were just delicious!
Homemade steamed noodles in a Sichuan sauce again. The noodles were perfect.
Pork san choy bao that we kinda attacked before I could get a picture because it looked too appetising! At least you can see it made up! This was super saucy and messy but super fun and delicious to eat!
Stir-fried sugar snaps with mushrooms and zuchinni flowers. George decided he couldn’t wait for me to take a photo.
And lastly, I actually had dessert but George didn’t for once! This was mango gelato, but it tasted more like yoghurt and had the consistency of fruche!
