Last night we caught up with some friends who live here for dinner at 4fourteen. We were given a list of places to choose from but this menu seemed the most appropriate. By appropriate, I mean most delicious!
We were not dissapointed. Each dish was super tasty and it was great that they were all shareable plates which meant we were all able to try everything. The only one I couldn’t eat more than one mouthfull of was the “snickers” dessert but that was so rich and chocolatey so that’s fine. It’s just not my bag baby.
Below are all the foods we ate:
Chicken liver jaffle. You wouldn’t think it, but pate is delicious in jaffles!
This was a tasty salmon with horseradish foam and pickled vegetables. It was so light and fresh.
Slow cooked lamb with cabbage. Doesn’t look like much, but the smell and taste was amazing. I managed to claim the bone too!
Suckling pig. Don’t really need to say anything else.
Bone marrow with pickles. This was so tasty but hard to eat as no serving utensils were provided. We ended up spreadingit on the flatbread with the pickle spoon.
The snickers dessert. So chocolatey.
This was the white chocolate sandwich. Holy crap. One of the best desserts I’ve ever had. It wasn’t too sweet except for the caramel which you only needed a little of. So light and delicious. I would come back just for this.
