Well…today was drizzling with rain all day and it was cold and grey. Totally the best day to be visiting a theme park right? Well we didn’t have a choice :p We thought there would be less people going because of this, but we were wrong. There were still heaps. All armed with umbrellas.

We also went in with a plan to hit up fast passes for the 3 main rides we wanted to go on first up. We were foiled though, as you can only obtain your next fast pass 2 hours after the first one.

What we did

Rides

20,000 leagues under the sea was a fun ride. I’m glad we fast passed it. It would not have been worth the huge wait if we didn’t. With the fast pass it was fun though.

Journey to the centre of the Earth was more like a roller coaster and we super enjoyed this. Again the standby wait time was ginormous…more than 3hrs…but with a fast pass it makes it more than bearable. I quite enjoyed this ride.

Finally, we managed to get a fast pass for the Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull ride. There was a lack of Shia LeBouf for those interested. This was a ride where you are in a jeep that bounces you around as go through it. It was good.

Parades

In Orlando, we really enjoyed the Fantasmic show so we decided to hang around in the freezing cold wind and rain to watch it again. It was good. Not sure if as good as Orlando…but the wind and rain could have been a factor here. No photos because freezing and my phone doesn’t have glove mode.

We spent heaps of time walking and wandering around the park too. 28,997 steps worth. Often in an attempt for warmth. But we found some cool areas like the Mermaid Lagoon as well as Agribah which were fun to poke around in. A new attraction was being built at the time we were there which was Nemo/Dory themed. I found Dory 🙂

I found my first real tree full blossom!

I also found Dory.

Scrooge McDuck had his own department store.

Inside mermaid lagoon

King Triton.

What we ate

We ate alot. Mainly because cold. But also because delicious.

This is a steamed bun filled with Gyoza filling. We had one each and it was the petfect breakfast!

Today we tried the cappuccino flavoured popcorn. It was perfect for a cold and drizzly day!

Also unlike Tokyo Disneyland, you can drink in Disney Sea. So on our travels we found a watm peach cocktail. It tasted too much like medicine for me to super enjoy it, but it was warm.

Lunch was at the New York themed deli and it was a super tasty and warming turkey panini anf riben sammich. With a Kirin of course. Becsuse Kirin.

We found that we had some time to kill. So to escape the cold and rain, we found a mexican themed restaurant that served a mocha cocktail as well as tequila based shots. So we camped here and drank for a bit.

Dinner was at the very fancy Magellan’s which we managed to snag a booking for. My goodness this food was delicious and the restaurant itself was beautiful. The staff were amazing too. Honestly, this was just amazing. Just look at the photos!

Fancy.

Delicious local wine.

Bread and chocolate shaped butter.

Cream of raddish soup…very delicious.

Beef consume…even more delicious!

Lobster with a lobster spring roll. Uggghhh I want to be eating this again!

Braised beef cheeks…also delicious.

Creme brulee

This was a very delicious strawberry mousse cheesecake.

As a nightcap, we finished with the little green men mochi. Each one was filled with either vanilla, chocolate or strawberry.

What we bought

Again just a small haul today. It was too wet to be lugging too much around.

These cute gloves were a lifesaver. It was so freaking cold! Now I have adult gloves too.

Our waitress in Magellan’s gave us these. She was so cute and lovely 🙂

I loved Disneysea. It reminded me alot of Epcot in Orlando. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it even more tomorrow when it is not raining.
